Dash and his brother Dewey, along with Dash's daughter Elsa were returned to Wyntr by their former owner in January of 2018. They were in terrible condition, extremely underweight, and filthy. After several months recovering here at Wyntr, Dewey (now Huey) has a wonderful forever home. Dash and Elsa have become permanent residents here at Wyntr as their new home did not work out.
Because of this incident and other unfortunate reports, Wyntr will no longer associate with, or recommend Mackinac to anyone seeking a Cardigan.

Dash is from the Wyntr "D" litter and went to live at Mackinac Cardigans, where he produced some litters, but was returned in 2018. In limited showing, Dash was awarded 3rd place in a very large 15-18 mos Puppy Class at the 2012 CWCCA National Specialty, and was shown a few more times to his first points, but was not titled because he did not enjoy the show ring, and his former owner chose to show other dogs she had obtained. Dash is now neutered, and will enjoy his remaining years here at Wyntr.
We may give him a chance to try Barn Hunt, and if he has fun, may attempt some titles.
