Dash and Dewey, along with Dash's daughter Elsa were returned to Wyntr by their former owner in January of 2018. They were in terrible condition, extremely underweight, and filthy. After several months recovering here at Wyntr, Dewey (now Huey) has a wonderful forever home. Dash and Elsa have become permanent residents here at Wyntr as their new home did not work out.
Because of this incident and other unfortunate reports, Wyntr will no longer associate with, or recommend Mackinac to anyone seeking a Cardigan.

Dewey is from the Wyntr "D" litter and went to live at Mackinac Cardigans with his brother Dash. He experienced some limited showing, but was never titled, and his former owner chose to show other dogs she had obtained. Dewey was used by his former owner to breed several litters before he was returned, but is now neutered, and living with a wonderful family.
