WEEK 6
The pups are very active now, spending a lot more time playing, exploring and making noise! No evening is complete without a puppy bark-off in the puppy pen before finally going to sleep. They are almost completely weaned now and have been microchipped. Collar and leash training has been introduced with limited success. Early housetraining is going well. Bladder control is still in progress, but they have been great about going outside to potty with no messes in their pen since the first few days after they were moved there.
Spent a lot of time trying to get some images or video of them moving to show the lovely sidegait they all exhibit, but of course when the camera was ready they would either stand still or find something interesting to lie down to chew on or else take off at a puppy gallop to tackle a littermate. When the camera wasn't ready, they would trot beautifully, of course.
Ears have started to come up, particularly on Miss Firecracker, so it will soon be 'party hat' time.
