It's been a busy time over the past week or so. The puppies were born on March 6th. Due to a stuck puppy, a c-section was necessary. There were seven puppies total, two black & white girls, two merle girls, one black & white boy and two merle boys. Unfortunately the black & white boy was discovered to have an abnormal palate and although he was doing well for nearly a week with supplemental feeding, he passed away quite suddenly at six days old. It was a sad loss, but he will benefit other dogs because his DNA has been donated to help cleft palate research.
Tiera has been a very good mom and the six remaining pups are doing great and growing fast. Because this is the "E" litter, all the pups now have temporary baby names starting with the letter "E".
